Turn off background noise
Reading takes place in quiet moments. There’s no getting around it.
+ When you read, talk and sing to your baby, turn off any background noise like TV or radio.
+ You are modeling for your child from day one. Show them that communication is important and that he has your undivided attention. Keep your phones off and out of sight for this brief period.
+ Remember, your baby needs to listen in order to learn, so give her the best environment to focus and to hear the sounds of speech and language.
